Carving out the perfect light
The Flindt Wall fixture joins the popular Flindt Bollard to bring expressive illumination and bold, sculptural design to indoor and outdoor spaces alike. Based on the same carved-out design as its cylindrical bollard predecessor, the Flindt Wall continues the elegant form language in the shape of a perfect circle. The Flindt Wall is distinguished by a light egress from an opening in the top that emits light down the front of the fixture, creating a subtle, glowing ring of reflected light on the transition between the concave and convex shapes. The oval shape is lifted off the mounting surface, giving the fixture a floating appearance. Designer Christian Flindt worked with a combination of software, 3D printing, and metal casting to ensure the perfect balance between proportions, curves and light in designing the three Flindt Wall sizes.
Simple and beautiful design.
True to Scandinavian design traditions, form follows function is a driving tenet of Danish lighting manufacturer Louis Poulsen. The form of each product is not designed for its shape but for its ability to shape the light it gives. The origin of this principle can be traced to Poul Henningsen’s three-shade system, an iconic Poulsen piece that encapsulates the dualities of light and form.
In close partnership with designers, architects and other talents including Arne Jacobsen,Verner Panton,Oivind Slaatto, Alfred Homann, Oki Sato and Louise Campbell, Louis Poulsen are a leading global manufacturer of architectural and decorative lighting. Each Louis Poulsen piece is underpinned by a glare-free approach, where the fittings reflect, reveal, expose and absorb light to create beauty and ambience.
