Breakwater Bowling Club

The Breakwater has long been a staple venue overlooking Hillary’s Boat Harbour Marina in Perth. Boasting multiple levels, expansive views over the Indian Ocean, WA’s first Shuffleboard experience as well as private dining and function spaces. The Breakwater has recently taken over three neighbouring tenancies to add a bowling alley to its offering. The seven lane 10-pin bowling alley is accompanied by a dedicated bar making it the perfect additional to the Breakwater.

BHO Interiors who worked on the original venue, have created a seamless merging of the old and new spaces creating a dynamic space that respects the previous venue whilst embracing the new possibilities of the future. The venue represents a shift away from the traditional ‘pub’ venue, to a more encompassing experience as drinking habits change and people are seeking more entertainment on a night out.

MLP supplied a range of fittings to help achieve the modern retro bowling alley aesthetic. Orluna Cloud ceiling fittings work in conjunction with Orluna Siri and Modular K77 down lights providing precise lighting where it is needed. An abundance of B4 FOURFlex and FOURLine create lighting washes under plinth seating, under the bar top and around ceiling accents. Vintage style Zico Golfball globes are incorporated into marquee signage and lane numbering completing the retro feel.
