A Case Study in Elegant Minimalism
The Genesis Sydney showroom has set a new benchmark for luxury automotive retail, seamlessly blending sophisticated design with an immersive customer experience. Located in North Strathfield, this flagship showroom is the largest of its kind in Australia, embodying the Genesis brand’s commitment to elegance, innovation, and craftsmanship.
At the heart of the showroom’s design is the Korean aesthetic philosophy known as the ‘Beauty of White Space.’ This concept is meticulously executed through a minimalist approach that fosters tranquility, allowing every detail to be appreciated without distraction. The architecture and interior design reflect a refined balance of form and function, creating a space that feels both expansive and intimate.
Visitors are welcomed into an environment where every texture and material has been thoughtfully selected to enhance the showroom’s atmosphere of modern sophistication. Exclusive lounges and curated spaces provide a private and immersive experience, reinforcing the brand’s focus on customer-centric luxury.
The showroom’s seamless integration of technology is another key highlight. State-of-the-art EV charging stations, cutting-edge vehicle displays, and digital interfaces ensure that the space is as progressive as the vehicles it showcases.
MLP worked with lighting designer LCI Consultants to supply an abundance of suspended track filled with B4 FOURtrack fittings across the vast showroom floor. B4 FOURflex and B4 FOURline LED profiles were also used in the more intimate offices and meeting room areas of the showroom, complementing Modular Smart Lotis and Modular K72 downlights.
This project exemplifies how intelligent design can redefine luxury retail. The interplay of light, materiality, and spatial composition transforms Genesis Sydney into more than just a showroom—it is an experiential destination.
