“The design brief was for an inspirational, though functional space which supported the company’s remarkable growth. ”
Situated over two levels of the environmentally progressive Rhodes House building in Perth, the Liontown Lithium Mining office has been designed to encompass a responsible and holistic working space.
The design brief was for an inspirational, though functional space which supported the company’s remarkable growth. Liontown’s clients include major global EV companies and it was important that a responsible image was presented

The office design represents a programmatic shift in the way corporate offices are presented to clients, visitors and the outside world in general. All the major functions of socialisation occur immediately visitors alight from the lifts. reception, boardroom, multipurpose room, meeting spaces of varying sizes and a large café breakout space all interconnect seamlessly in one large fluid space. Visual connection between north and south glazed facades is immediately evident in driving a clear sense of orientation. The spaces are always full of life and visitors are left with the impression of a cohesive, progressive company at work.
With most building services underfloor, a warm timber vaulted ceiling at three metres captures the natural light from north and south drawing the eye through the space. The lighting has been designed to accentuate the ceiling with warm washes of light provided by concealed Lumino V20S and V12S strip profiles. B4 FOURdark recessed downlights provide additional fill light adding to the ambient ceiling.
